Just like a prayer

The first time I heard something about him was about all the bad conspiracies and filthy mystique around him as a sex guru
And that as any other conservative teenage girl of 13 made me judge him a fake

It was the beautifully photographed magazine which caught my eye.
I have this unconfessed weakness towards brilliant and mesmerizing photographs in any form.
Well, sure I got addicted to it for the wrong reasons
Surely the magazine had much more than pictures

The third time I heard him speak was a mp3 clip from a friends house
His 'discourse' on the F*** word. And I laughed my heart out

To this day,I dont know whether he was fake or genuine
All I know is he has given quite some gems in terms of extraordinaire thought
Free and spirited
Provokingly simple
I wont name who it is...[;Guess who??]

Some which definitely makes me wonder all the more....
hat it might be like to know more...

"Giving love is the really beautiful experience, because then you are an emperor. Getting love is very small experience, and it is the experience of a beggar. Don’t be a beggar. At least as far as love is concerned, be an emperor, because it is an inexhaustible quality in you."

"I also love the idea of equality, but in a totally different way. My idea of equality is equal opportunity for all to be unequal, equal opportunity for all to be unique and themselves. Certainly they will be different from each other, and a society which does not have variety and differences is a very poor society. Variety brings beauty, richness, color."

"To know that “All that I have achieved is lost” is the beginning of a new search for something that cannot be lost." "To be alone in the only real revolution. To accept that you are alone is the greatest transformation that can happen to you."

"The beauty of facing life unprepared is tremendous. Then life has a newness, a youth; then life has a flow and freshness. Then life has so many surprises. And when life has so many surprises boredom never settles in you."

"Existence is not a problem to be solved, it is a mystery to be lived."

Hitting the century!!

Well...the title makes it quite obvious I guess.
This is my 100 th post..and this blog turns 3 years in a
nother 10 days.
I wanted to make it special for myself and for
the few loyal readers...

So here is my anniversary-cum-century-cum-valentines day gift for ya all and most importantly to myself...yippeeee...
And my treat for everyone dropping by

A bit of a story

It all started actually in 2005 as a Newyear reso
ultion...It was a suggestion from a friend who had a great blog running...And like many other victims,I got addicted pretty fast...It was a total cool thing...I used to bunk my classes and sit for hours and hours wholly devoted for blogging[includes reading others as well]
Somewhere down the line I found friends who blog..bloggers who became friends...And the addiction was so pot
ent that I started blogging for others..to please people with verbal gymnastics...to get more comments..and to get more hits...It gave me some sort of a high..but eventually like all highs it hit a low note..infact the lowest..I couldnt think of anything more to write to please people..hence I began to unfrequent blogosphere....But then, life comes in a full circle..and again I started writing and this time just for myself...not caring about what others think about me..and I survived many of my worst times just because of this catharsis

I dedicate this post to all my blogger friends-

Some I know well
Some I got to know well

Some read silently
Some I dare to comment on
Some who rekindles hope

Some who make me realize Im not alone...

The best of me...

It might not be masterpieces. It was pure instinct and gut which made me pick these three which I consider to be the top 3

  1. Princess v/s Queen-A flash of inspiration made me write this comparison. And I love it for the spontaneity
  2. She- Every time I read it,it amazes me and gives me inspiration to try more
  3. Will You?-I wrote this one out of sheer desperation and tears transformed as words. It will be the most emotionally laden post I have ever written.

The Best Of You...

Touch of a challenge

This was a part of the Last Lecture series..

Randy Pausch Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

Its extremely touching because it challenges you..
And challenging because its made by a dying man but without showing any semblance of that..

What is Last Lecture series??
Ongoing series of lectures where top academics are asked to think deeply about what matters to them, and then give a hypothetical "final talk", i.e., "what wisdom would you try to impart to the world if you knew it was your last chance?"

Whew...quite a situation..;)
